About
Teresa Welch
Assistant Professor of Christian Education, Director of Institutional Research,
Emmanuel Christian Seminary, Johnson City, TN
Though I am currently a seminary professor, I will always be a children’s minister at heart. I spent 15 years in children’s ministry in churches in Ohio and Illinois and so that I don’t become too rusty or boring by spending most of my time with graduate students, I volunteer weekly with elementary kids in a local congregation. I also teach as an adjunct at Ozark Christian College and Milligan College in children’s ministry courses, so I try to keep up on what is happening in the ever changing world of ministry to children.
This site was created to provide free resources for those who minister to children. I have degrees from Ozark Christian College, Malone University, Lincoln Christian University and Emmanuel Christian Seminary. It is out of a mixture of experience and education that these materials are created.
Having been reared in the Christian churches/churches of Christ, I have a particular interest in these churches and how we approach baptism with elementary aged children. It is my desire that children receive education that leads to a life of following after Christ.
